Every year for the last 50 years, Sports Illustrated publishes their annual Swimsuit Edition, filled with gorgeous supermodels and the latest in swimsuit trends and swimsuit designers. The issue takes months to put together and is shot in some of the most beautiful beach/resort locations in all the land. Don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to pick up your copy, we’ll talk about the super cute suits today!
This classic 2 pc is kicked up a notch because of the crochet detailing in the top and bottom. Take your suit from basic to wow, with just a simple detail. The tie sides bottoms are also huge right now. TIP: I keep my ties in place by first tying a knot, then my bow. They won’t move!
Swimsuit 2014: Cook Islands Lily Aldridge in Solkissed Swimwear Beach/Rarotonga, Cook Islands, New Zealand
Bold colors and fun prints were all over the pages of SI. Especially in bright colors, blues, and neons. The trick is finding a print that will showcase your personality and shape best.
Swimsuit 2014: Madagascar Chanel Iman in Vix by Paula Hermanny Madagascar/NA, NA, Madagascar
We spoke about retro swimsuits before. I show you this style of swimsuit again, because they are not going anywhere. IMO, they are one of the most universal swimsuits around: they look great on pre-teens to a more mature woman. The trick is just finding age appropriate prints and colors. Fit is extremely important in this style. If it’s too tight, you will experience muffin top. When done correctly, you’ll look flawless.
Swimsuit 2014: St. Lucia/Bodypaint Cris Urena in Tory Praver Swimwear St. Lucia/St. Lucia
