Swim in Style: Part 1

Wow what a week! After cranking out work non stop, all I can think about is, well more work! Lol. I’ve been busy researching the latest 2014 fashion swim trends, especially with fashion week season in full swing (New York, London, Paris, and Milan), the trends for swimwear are in full swing too and revealing themselves. I’m excited to see how other swim designers will translate whats on the catwalk to whats on the beaches and yachts. I my self have a million ideas and can’t wait to commit them to paper. Let the trends begin!

Retro Style:

We touched on this before with my own brand, Nager By Nic Hyl, and I’m definitely seeing other brands/designers nod to the vintage style more:

Cutouts:

We saw this trend in fashion mid 2013 and now here it is in swimwear. Word of advice: ensure proper fit to prevent muffin top, or muffin back; this is not the type of suit you want to fit poorly! Remember, fit and size are not the same thing. Buy your size (whatever that may be), and the suit will fit properly.

Itsy Bitsy:

The itsy bitsy teenie weenie bikini is always a favorite. This season we see it get spruced up with color, and print. IMO, this is still the best suit to tan in. Visit my website to see my take on this classic style, www.nagerbynichyl.com
