How do you find your own personal style? How do you translate that into your beach look? I talk about style and how I would wear a garment all of the time, but today, I wondered to myself what would the woman who doesn’t have a clue, do if she needed to put a look together? The first thing you have to figure out is what you like. Try to find a celebrity or real life person that you know whose style you admire. Now ask yourself what it is a about their style that you like? Once you’ve figured that out, go to your closet and play with the clothes you have. Put looks together and try them on in a way that works for you. How do you feel in them? How does it look put together on you? Is it something you feel comfortable in? IF you don’t feel comfortable in it, then it doesn’t matter how cute it is, it’s not for you. Keep making adjustments until you look AND feel great. That ladies, is your style.
Once you’ve figured out the winning combination, do it again with another outfit, then another. Take some selfless if you need to. Add cute accessories and shoes and you should be set! The hardest part is taking the time to look through what you have and combining it in a way that speaks to your personality. When it comes to your beach look, use the same formula, just choose swimsuits instead of clothes.
P.S. don’t be so quick to throw everything away. Some of my best styling pieces come from my mom’s closet or things I had in high school or college. Buy quality, take care of it, and it will last a long time.
