Who doesn’t love Insta? I love it so much, that sometimes I “watch” Insta instead of t.v. or YouTube. While looking in my discover tab, I come across Insta accounts that I should be following, but I’m not and the only reason why I’m not is because they’re under rated af.
Why are they under rated? Mainly because they either express an opinion or content that may not be popular with the mainstream or they’re just too new to have been noticed yet. But let’s give these accounts some love and get them on everyone’s radar…they’re worth it!
Now, you’re probably thinking, “how is Sephora, under rated’? This is not the standard @Sephora account. This is SephoraPro. An account featuring the work and artistry of Sephora’s 7 leading MUA’s work, product loves, creativity to inspire through education. While they do have 834K followers, they are super under rated for what the products they expose us to. My only complaint would be that I would LOVE them to do more product dems on this account, but hey I’m still very happy 🙂 Follow them at @SephoraPro:

First, I should start by saying that this is one of my all time fave vintage shops in New York City. I adore them! Partly because I got my fave 1940’s vintage shearing coat here that was in perfect condition, but also because the actual store just has a wealth of information about each expertly curated piece that is in their possession. The insta account fuses a lifestyle feel coupled with a bad-ass feminine approach to vintage fashion and I’m all the way here for it! Follow them @newyorkvintageinc

Okay, so maybe we’re a bit biased because this is the insta account for our parent brand of swimwear and resort wear, Nager By Nic Hyl. But this account is a really good, under rated find. The account focuses on and inspires all types of beauty with a goal of making women feel beautiful in the skin that they’re in. The brand also actually designs their product and isn’t one of these fast fashion companies that makes disposable items that you can only wear a couple of times. They even show vides of some bts stuff of making patterns, cutting out designs, and all that goes into making swimwear. A really cool approach in this day and age. Follow them at @NagerByNicHyl

This is sort of like many instas in one insta. Artists & Fleas is an artisanal marketplace with physical locations in Venice Beach, CA and 3 different locations in New York City. This place is GREAT because of all of the various types of local businesses that sell in their physical locations. You can literally buy everything from vintage clothes, to books, to food, to shoes and everything in between at these local markets. If you’re looking for a unique gift for that hard to shop for person, this is the place to go. Or if you’re just wanting to see what’s cool, in art, design, fashion, and vintage also a great account to follow. Check them out @ArtistsAndFleas

This is such a great account! The focus is on vintage jewelry and the documentation of it, but you get the most interesting stories and anecdotes with each post. Each of the pieces featured are so beautiful. There is actually a physical store for this account as well and the store is curated so beautifully! If you can’t stop in, definitely follow the account to see the next beautiful thing they discover. Follow them @SpokenStone
